Main Role Objective

Work with Extraordinary’s internal marketing team and external agencies to execute the organisation’s PR & marketing strategy aligned with its business goals to generate new business leads and nurture relationships with existing B2B and B2C leads. Supports and optimises the organisation’s PR & marketing initiatives, including assisting with the development and execution of PR & marketing activities, coordinating PR & marketing materials and streamlining marketing workflow.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the PR & marketing activities and initiatives on behalf of Extraordinary as required by the organisation’s stakeholders and guests.
  • Be the glue connecting the marketing team with the sales team and external agencies.
  • Follow an efficient workflow and traffic system to execute all marketing to appropriate channels by deadline.
  • Efficiently allocate resources, monitor the deployment and report on the status thereof in the execution of marketing activities.
  • Work across multiple projects, ensuring all parties are informed of progress and issues.
  • Oversee design and production of marketing collateral.
  • Attend meetings – internal and with external marketing providers – to coordinate and communicate about marketing outputs required by organisation.
  • Work with the marketing team and external agencies to devise timelines, instructions and project plans for future marketing projects.
  • Quality control process owner – checking that outputs are of the required standard.
  • Write and distribute press release to media.
  • Media outreach and liaison, e.g.: organising media trips to properties.
  • Copywriting where required.
  • Be the custodian of and maintain an ordered DAM.
  • Work with the marketing team to establish and maintain a client database.

Minimum requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in digital marketing
  • At least 3 years’ experience in marketing coordination
  • Highly organised and able to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • High attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Ability to develop schedules and timelines for marketing projects
  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for beautiful design and purpose-driven marketing
  • Self-starter and deadline driven to deliver multiple projects
  • Exceptional time management and organisational abilities
  • You are a doer and have a high sense of accountability
  • Luxury and/or hospitality experience advantageous
  • PR and copywriting experience advantageous
  • Proficiency in digital analytics, CMS, marketing automation software and/or CRM a plus
  • Highly active on social media and following social media trends


  • Full-time work from Extraordinary offices in Bryanston, Johannesburg
  • Permanent, with 3-month probation
  • 40 hours per week

This Role Reports to:

  • Extraordinary head of sales, marketing and reservations


  • This is an intermediate to senior role and remuneration will be based on experience and skill.
