Main Role Objective

The Content Coordinator is the conduit through which all content created on behalf of customers flows. They are the bridge between the Content Team, the Client Services Teams and freelance contractors and are required to manage the smooth flow of high-quality work in the agency, delivering excellent content on time and to the specifications of the client and client services teams. Their roles are to ensure that production systems and process are streamlines and followed; to ensure quality control and to be and extension of the customer-service team.

  • Ensure quality control
    • Your briefs are so thorough that content delivered to client team rarely needs edits and is on brief
    • You are uncompromising about the quality of work you deliver on behalf of the content team
    • You share your insights on customer WhatsApp groups, emails and on Teams
    • Your freelancer and content team feel you provide proper briefs
    • Feedback from customers and client services teams is positive
    • Asked to provide thought leadership insight by customer, client services team, third-party, e.g., media

  • Extension of customer-service team
    • At any given time, your client, customer service team and content team understand the status of content being created
    • You know what questions to ask to ensure a proper brief is delivered.
    • Your client and customer service team feel you are communicative, detail oriented and committed to servicing them properly

    • You have a documented workflow for content process
    • You have a robust tracking mechanism for content workflow
    • You have a reporting template

    • You submit invoices timeously to accounts and have a spreadsheet of expenses submitted monthly

       

  • Reviews:
    • 3 Month Trial Review
      • Weekly review in the first month, with monthly reviews thereafter to assess success in role and set-up areas of development in subsequent months.
      • You will have to illustrate that you can be trusted to do the job adequately without needing to be followed up with.
    • For your review, you will be asked to score yourself against your role profile and company values, which will be counter-scored by 2 staff members who work with you.
